Long-Tail Keywords
August 9, 2021
We all know that searchability and ranking rely upon keywords, but that can be tough for a small or new business. In order to beat out the competition, you will need to set yourself about from the common, general keywords. The best way to do this is by using long-tail keywords to increase your traffic and conversions quickly and effortlessly.
What exactly is a long-tail keyword?
These are keywords that don’t get searched as much as the other more popular words. They are typically a minimum of three words long, but length doesn’t necessarily define whether or not it is a keyword.
How do I create a long-tail keyword?
Think, specific. A bit more thought is required than the general term of something like construction. However, word of caution, don’t overthink it or you will get overwhelmed. Ask yourself these questions about your business:
- What type of business is it? Using the construction example, is the business a homebuilder, commercial builder, remodeling, siding, roofing, or something else?
- Who is your target audience?
- Who needs your product or service?
